Join in the fun on Saturday, March
24, when Mendocino Stories and Music Series presents Mendo BobFest at
the Hill House Inn of Mendocino. This is a celebration and career
retrospective of the music of Bob Dylan on the 50th anniversary of the
release of his first album.
Music starts at 7:30PM.
The evening will feature 20 or
more of Mendocino County’s finest musicians in the cordial surroundings
of the Hill House Inn Ballroom. Hosted with commentary by noted
Dylanologist Bob Markel, this will be one of the largest gatherings of
musical talent in Mendocino Coast history.
BobFest will cover songs of
pre-eminent songwriter Bob Dylan from the beginning to the very latest.
This musical extravaganza will be performed in three sets,
beginning with solo acoustic numbers and progressing
to a final, all-electric dance set.
Musicians scheduled to perform
are (in alphabetical order): Steven Bates, Bill Bottrell, Martha
Bouquin, Pattie DeMatteo, Sheila Fetzer, Jamie Gilliam, Bruce Graves,
Kirk Handley, Rose Knight, Lenny Laks, Denny Lunsford, Marcus McCallen,
Jamie Peters, Sue Sisk, David Stuart, Sam Ware and Special Guests.
All ages welcome.
Doors open at 6:00 PM with food and full bar.
